Choosing the right material

Most large format mistakes are material mistakes, not printing mistakes. These are the distinctions that actually change how a job performs.

Indoors or outdoors

Sunlight and rain are what age a print. Vinyl banner material with weather-resistant ink is made for outdoor exposure; a standee film is made to sit flat indoors. Putting an indoor material outside shortens its life, and putting a heavy outdoor material on an indoor stand makes it awkward to move.

How it will be fixed

A banner usually needs eyelets so it can be tied or zip-tied to a frame or fence, with reinforced edges so it does not tear at the corners. A wall sign instead needs standoff fixings and a rigid panel. Knowing how the piece will be hung changes what we print it on, so mention it when you ask for the quote.

Viewing distance

Something read from across a road needs far larger type and far less detail than something read at arm's length on a reception wall. If you send us artwork designed for a small card and ask for it on a 6-foot banner, the small text will not be readable. We will tell you before printing, not after.

How a large format order works

  1. Tell us the size and where it goes

The physical space matters more than anything else. Send measurements, or a photo of the wall, gate or stand with something in frame for scale.

  2. We suggest the material and quote

Based on indoor or outdoor use and how it will be fixed, we recommend the material and give you a price for that specific job.

  3. File check before printing

We check resolution and scale for the final size. Artwork built for a small card does not enlarge cleanly, and it is better to find that out now.

  4. Print and finish

The job is printed and finished on our floor, then hemmed, eyeleted, mounted or assembled depending on what it is.

Large format printing questions

How do I know what size banner I need?

Measure the space the banner has to fill, not the artwork you already have. If it is going on a shopfront, a gate or a fence, photograph the gap with something in frame for scale and send it to us. We will tell you what size suits it and whether your design will still be readable at that size.

Can you print a banner from a design I already have?

Yes, if the file has enough resolution for the final size. Artwork built for a small card will look soft when enlarged to banner scale. Send the file and we will check it and tell you honestly whether it can be used as-is or needs rebuilding.

What is the difference between a banner and a standee?

A banner is a flexible sheet, usually hung against a wall, fence or frame and often fixed with eyelets. A roll-up standee is a self-standing unit on a metal base, made to be carried to an event, set up quickly and packed away again. If the display needs to move, a standee is usually the better choice.

How much does large format printing cost?

It depends on the size, the material and the quantity, so there is no single figure. Our catalogue prices start at ৳450 for PVC banners, ৳1800 for roll-up standees and ৳4500 for acrylic signboards. Send your measurements and where it will be used and we will quote the actual job.

Can I collect the banner, or do you deliver?

Both. You can collect from our counter in Anderkilla during opening hours, or we can arrange courier delivery. Larger rigid items such as acrylic signboards are worth discussing before dispatch so we can agree how they will be packed.

How long does a large format job take?

Production time depends on the size, the material and how busy the schedule is, so we confirm it when you place the order rather than promising a fixed number. If you have a fixed event date, tell us at the start and we will tell you what is possible.

Tell us the space, we will tell you what works

Send a photo with rough measurements and we will come back with a material suggestion and a price. Walk in to the Anderkilla counter if you would rather talk it through.
