What to decide before you order

Corporate stationery splits into two jobs. The executive suite is letterheads, envelopes, and presentation folders on 100 GSM royal bond and 350 GSM folder board. The operational side is invoices, challans, and receipt books on carbonless NCR paper. Most businesses need both, but they are priced and run differently.

Bond paper is chosen because it runs cleanly through office laser and inkjet printers after you overprint it. If you will type a letter onto the letterhead, the sheet has to be laser compatible. Presentation folders are board, and 350 GSM is the weight that holds a document slit and a business card slot without tearing out.

How this family runs on our floor

Carbonless work is the one that surprises people. Duplicate and triplicate sets are built from pre-collated colored sheets, and the sequence is set at the mill, not on our press. We print the form, then number it in red ink mechanically so every copy in the book is traceable.

Sequential numbering is applied one sheet at a time during binding, which is why numbered books cost more per unit than unnumbered pads. The payoff is audit compliance: every receipt can be reconciled to the one before it.

Mistakes we see before the file check

The common stationery mistake is artwork that leaves no room for the machine to write. An invoice form needs blank space for the date, the amount, and the signature, and NCR sheets need a clear margin on the numbered edge.

The second is the letterhead footer. Print your full address and phone numbers at the bottom of the sheet and a typed letter will collide with it. Keep the footer to the lower third and let the body copy sit above. We review both in the file check before plating.
