A banner at a trade fair is read from three metres away, not thirty centimetres. So the specification is about distance and hanging, not fine detail. Heavy PVC flex, eco-solvent print at high resolution, and eyelets on a hemmed edge.
What this specification does on press
- 510 GSM PVC flex is heavy enough to hang across a wide span without sagging. Lighter media ripple under the hall lighting and look cheap long before the type becomes hard to read.
- 1440 DPI eco-solvent lays the ink down in a fine, controlled dot. Gradients and skin tones hold up at viewing distance, and the solvent bonds into the PVC rather than just sitting on the surface.
- Widths up to 20 ft mean a banner can come off in one continuous piece. Seams are where a banner fails first, so we avoid them where we can.
- Eyelets at standard intervals, with the edges folded and hemmed, spread the load across the whole frame instead of leaving it on two corners.
Decisions to make before you order
- Bring the actual booth dimensions, not an estimate. A banner cut to a guess will not stretch to fit, and re-cutting means re-printing.
- Keep the important type well inside the live area. Eyelets and hem folds eat the edges, and a hanging banner never hangs perfectly flat.
- Think about transport before you order. A 20 ft banner on a roll needs a vehicle and a tube, not a courier envelope.
