FinishSoft-Touch Lamination
FormatCustom Die-Cut Wallet
Run Size2,000 Pcs
Few printed things in a hotel get handled as much as a room-key wallet. Every guest picks it up twice a day for the whole stay. So the specification is built around that wear cycle.
What this specification does on press
- 350 GSM duplex board is a two-ply sheet. That makes it stiff through the fold line without the brittleness you get from a single-ply board at the same weight.
- Soft-touch lamination gives a matte surface that feels almost like suede. Underneath it is a sealed film, so it can be wiped down between stays. For anything that changes hands in a hotel, that is the deciding factor.
- The wallet is die-cut with its card slot in one pass. Pocket and cover come out as a single piece, with no glued seam to split at the fold.
- 2,000 pieces covers a full room block with spares, which is just as well. Key wallets leave hotels at a steady rate.
Decisions to make before you order
- Confirm the key-card thickness before the dieline. A slot cut for a thin RFID card will not hold a thicker legacy card, and the reverse is just as true.
- If you want room numbers or block printing on them, say so at the start. Variable data is set up before the die-cut pass, not after.
- Ask about the logo. A dark mark on a soft-touch surface can read flat, and a spot varnish is what brings it back.
