A loyalty card lives in a wallet for a year. It gets rubbed against leather, splashed at the counter and stamped again and again, so we build it as a board product rather than a paper one. Here that means one of the heaviest boards in our card range, with metallic gold foil stamped on top.
What this specification does on press
- 450 GSM ivory board is about as heavy as card stock gets. At this weight the card hardly flexes, and that matters for foil. A soft board lets the stamped edge roll and go dull.
- Gold foil is transferred with heat and pressure, so the finished mark is a thin metal film sitting on the surface. It is not printed ink. It will not fade the way a metallic-flake ink can, and it holds up against a damp counter.
- 3.5″ × 2.0″ is the larger of the two standard card sizes. It leaves room for a stamp grid, the terms and a code or QR strip, without the type getting too small to read.
- 1,000 pieces is a sensible midpoint for a loyalty programme. It covers a good few months of new sign-ups, and it does not lock the brand into a design that might change when the menu does.
Decisions to make before you order
- Fix the stamp mechanic before anything goes on plate. Physical stamp grid, punch, or QR-based credit. Changing it later means reprinting the whole job.
- Keep the foil to type and small marks. Large foil areas pick up every speck of dust on the sheet and slow the run right down.
- If you want numbering or barcoding, tell us early. Variable data goes down before the foil die touches the sheet.
